Firefighters sort out blaze at Phillips 66 refinery, no accidents

(Reuters) – Firefighters in Carson, California are tackling a blaze at a Phillips 66 refinery, the corporate mentioned late on Friday.

The hearth continues to be energetic and there have been no accidents, Phillips 66 mentioned in a press release.

The reason for the fireplace, which began at about 7:30 p.m. native time, is underneath investigation, it added.

The hearth occurred on the Carson facility, which is a part of the Phillips 66 Los Angeles Refinery. The refinery processes primarily heavy, high-sulfur crude oil, in keeping with the corporate’s web site.

Individually, the Los Angeles County Hearth Division advised Reuters that there are not any recognized casualties and no evacuations.
