Russia’s Yandex pushes again in opposition to stress to share encryption keys: Ifax

MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian Web big Yandex stated on Tuesday it needed to abide by the legislation however to not violate its customers’ privateness within the course of, Interfax information company reported, after a media report stated safety providers had demanded its encryption keys.

The RBC media portal reported earlier on Tuesday that Russia’s Federal Safety Service (FSB) had requested Yandex at hand over the encryption keys for its Yandex.Pochta mail service and Yandex.Disk file internet hosting service.

Yandex has not but complied with the FSB’s request, which was made a number of months in the past, RBC stated.
