(Reuters) – Canada’s Bombardier Inc (BBDb.TO) is shedding half the 1,100 employees at its Thunder Bay, Ontario, railway automotive plant, BNN Bloomberg reported on Tuesday, citing a federal authorities supply.

Two main contracts in Ontario – for Toronto Transit Fee streetcars and Metrolinx GO Transit rail vehicles – are slated to wind down by the tip of the yr, the report mentioned.

Bombardier didn’t instantly reply to a Reuters request for remark.
