(Reuters) – Grocery store operator Albertsons Corporations stated on Saturday it could ask clients to not overtly carry firearms at its shops, becoming a member of an array of outlets and retailer chains this week who modified their gun coverage in gentle of a number of mass shootings in the USA.
“We wish our shops to really feel secure & welcoming for all, so we respectfully ask clients to not overtly carry firearms in our shops except they’re approved regulation enforcement officers,” the corporate stated in a tweet bit.ly/2HPH03R.
The announcement comes as different retailers comparable to Walmart Inc (WMT.N) and Kroger Co (KR.N) tweaked their gun coverage, with Walmart saying it could discontinue gross sales of ammunition for handguns and a few assault-style rifles in shops throughout the USA.
