(Reuters) – U.S. commerce regulators on Friday authorised 10 out of 15 requests for tariff exemptions filed by Apple Inc.

Apple didn’t say why it requested the exemptions, however the requests have been for parts similar to partially accomplished circuit boards. Apple manufactures its Mac Professional computer systems in Texas and such intermediate components have been topic to tariffs.

Apple didn’t instantly return a request for remark.
